Successive good results for Doriane Pin in 3 categories
Doriane Pin has achieved 3 remarkable performances in 3 different categories.
After her superb 3rd place at the Women’s Championship at Lavilledieu, in her first attempt, Doriane continued her momentum with a 2nd place in the French Junior Championship at Ancenis. More recently, she completed an exemplary event in X30 Junior at Château Gaillard with a 4th place finish. Those results confirm all the compliments for the talent of the young girl from Saint Fargeau Ponthierry (77).
Doriane found her Exprit/Vortex of the French Junior Championship at Ancenis for the fourth of the five meetings of the FFSA Academy season.
Her recognised fighting spirit has once again worked wonders.
She made a strong comeback in the heats after an unsuccessful Timed Practice because of this totally new track for her.
Increasingly comfortable on the winding course of the Loire-Atlantique track, she even took the win in the second heat and was tied for points with the drivers ranked 2nd and 3rd.
While the track was still slippery in the Prefinal, Doriane maintained a fast pace, but a spoiler penalty dropped her down to 11th.
It would take more than this setback to dampen her ambitions. In a very lively Final, Doriane was able to gain nine places and finished within 0.15″ of the winner. The win was not far away!
Her great result allowed her to return to 7th place in the championship, a gain of six places in a single race. She is now aiming for 1st place in the last event scheduled at the end of July at Soucy to conclude her French campaign in OK-Junior on a successful note.
Shortly afterwards, Doriane changed mounts again to compete in the 2nd event of the IAME Series France in X30 Junior. The progress of the competition at Château Gaillard was similar to that of Ancenis.
After time to master the new track, Doriane returned to the group at the top of the heats, also taking a victory in the second heat.
Finishing 3rd in the Prefinal, she dropped back five places because of a spoiler dislodged in the battle. She made a spectacular return in the Final in the wake of 3rd.
With these results, she can legitimately hope for a convincing victory at Angerville in mid-July, during the X30-Junior national final.
Her goal is also to qualify for the IAME International Final which will take place in October at Le Mans.
« I am very happy with my progress in the top tier of the categories I enter »,
« I benefit from the supervision of the FFSA Academy and my preparation with 321 PERFORM. In addition to Fred, my mechanic in X30, I thank ASK Rosny 93, the Karting League Ile de France, Kartagene, Fun and Race, Alfano-Chrono.com, Pakelo France, and the private sponsors who give me support. »
Motivated by her many successes, Doriane is already thinking of an international season in 2019 in the OK-Junior category among the brightest hopes of global karting.
